“Dreams weigh nothing” -Marie Antoinette

Versailles is yet another gorgeous French medal design featuring a chain made from 10mm bronze textured round links and is 20.5 inches in length.

In France, notaries are not only qualified lawyers, such as English Solicitors, but also public officers and are appointed by the Minister of Justice to act on behalf of the State.

To encourage notaries to attend their meetings, “tokens” were given from the end of the 17th century, a kind of internal currency for each company of notaries. The first tokens were struck for the notaries of Paris in 1675.
